FORMSOPHY
Formsophy is a collaborative sculptural practice by Alicja Prussakowska and Jakub Kijowski, centered on material exploration and the expressive potential of surface, weight, and form. Their work investigates how texture and process can carry narrative, allowing material itself to become a storyteller.
Blending traditional craftsmanship with experimental methods, the duo approaches casting as an open, intuitive process rather than a fixed technique. Liquid aluminum becomes both medium and moment — fluid, unpredictable, and integral to the evolution of each piece.
Described by the artists as romantic brutalism, their practice carefully negotiates contrasts: raw materiality and precision, mass and delicacy, instinct and control — shaped through the dialogue between two distinct creative voices.
